One major holiday down, two to go! October was great fun at the Dojo, but we're not slowing down! Take a look at what's coming up in November.
Our Halloween Ninja Night was a BLAST! It's always a great excuse for parents to enjoy a night out alone (and to make the most of the kids' Halloween costumes), but between the costume contest, Halloween photo booth, scary Elmo piñata, Zombie battles, Bunker Ball, and a Pizza party, it was a great night for the kids and Instructors. We hope everyone had a happy Halloween, and we'll see you at next year's party! To see all of our photos from this event, Click Here to head over to our Facebook page.
Congratulations to our October
2017 Student of the Month, John T.! John has made such incredible progress since he started, and we're so proud and excited for him to earn this award. Great work, John!
Now, on to important karate business. This Saturday (11/4) is the Kids Belt Test. Your instructor will have already let you know if your child is ready for this test. Check your inbox for an email with all of the info and tips you'll need to best help your child prepare to earn his or her new rank.
Observance of Veterans Day is Friday, 11/10. The Dojo will remain open and on regular schedule. Thank you to those who have served.
On Saturday, 11/18 Dojo Family Paintball is back! We've got 30 tickets for a private group on Camp Pendleton's Paintball Park, and we're inviting all of our students from the Juniors, Teens, and Adults classes and their families to join us for a fun morning/afternoon playing ball! Tickets are $50 each and include gun and mask rentals and paintballs. For more info, Click Here to see the event page on our Facebook, or check out the sign up list at the front desk. Parents, please use discretion... there's no age minimum, but paintball can be a little intense for some of the younger kids and first-timers and we want to make sure everyone has good time. We only have 30 tickets and they go "first come, first served", so if you're sure you want to go, get them soon!
The date of the December USSD Grand Championship Tournament was recently changed. Please Click Here to see the updated version of our Fall/Winter 2017 Calendar of Events to get a look at what's coming up at the Dojo from now until the end of the year.
And finally, the moment you've all been waiting for... TURKEY FEAST DAY. I mean Thanksgiving! The Dojo will be closed on Thursday, 11/23 for all Martial Arts training. If you have a lesson scheduled for that day, your Instructor will reschedule it with you for another convenient date. Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy this amazing Fall weather, and we'll see you in the Dojo!
