Kick Or Treat
We are just going to keep the celebration ball rolling from the Fall 2018 Dojo Tournament and Grand Opening BBQ, all the way through October! There is a lot coming up in the next few months as we hurtle towards the end of the year, so check out what's new at the Dojo this month.
Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Fall 2018 Dojo Tournament! What a great way to officially break in the new space with our Dojo Family. And a huge thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the Grand Opening with us at the Brazilian barbecue. Another round of "Congratulations" are in order for our September 2018 Student of the Month, Isaiah L.! This kid is always giving it 100%, great work Isaiah! Between the Tournament and the upcoming Belt Tests, we've got a lot of serious Martial Arts business to focus on, but we're going to break it up a little and let loose at our annual Halloween Ninja Night on Saturday, October 20th! Come dressed as your favorite monster, princess, superhero, or ninja for the Costume Contest, then stick around the Haunted Dojo for a night full of Games, fun Challenges, Pizza, Piñata, Raffle Prizes, and more! This event is open to all kids ages 5 to 11 (friends, neighbors, and siblings welcome!), but space is limited, so be sure and RSVP before Monday, October 15th. We've got some other schedule tweaks for this month. There will be no Lil Dragons or Juniors group classes on Friday, October 19th since Miss Meka will be at Las Palmas Elementary helping kids break boards at their "Trunk-Or-Treat" event. All private lessons, as well as the Teens and Adult group classes will remain on regular schedule.
Happy Halloween! There will be no group classes on Wednesday, October 31st since everyone will be getting ready to head out for Trick-Or-Treating and parties. Please remember to follow these "Kick-Or-Treat" tips for a fun and safe night of candy and costumes!
The Teen/Adult Belt Test is scheduled for Friday, November 2nd at 6:00 pm. There will be no Teens or Adults group classes on that evening (Lil Dragons and Juniors will remain on regular schedule). The Kids Belt Test is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd at 11:00 am. Test invitations will be ready for pick up at the front desk by the end of next week for those who will be ready by November. The next Belt Tests are *tentatively* scheduled for Friday, February 1st 2019 (Teens/Adult), and Saturday, February 2nd 2019 (Kids).
